UT Grows Pickleball by Leaps and Bounds

Regional Director Mike Nielsen Director shared this video shot by Fox News. Mike says the video only lasts a few minutes and clearly shows why pickleball is for “everyone”. Mike uses the enclosed video within presentations to his cities and counties to get more courts built and, according to Mike, “it really works.” From Mike “We started 4 years ago in northern Utah with 8 courts and 60 players. We now have 1400 players and 150 courts indoor and outdoor. This summer we had $2.5 million spent on dedicated outdoor courts by the various local governments. Mike explained that.the main reason for our rapid growth is going after the youth and the young adults besides the seniors. These combined age groups make a sizable and powerful group to lobby the local officials, Mike said in closing.
