▶ Overview – “Compete, Connect & Learn” Creating a Pathway to Success for the Next Gen players to compete for $15K in prize money, connect with peers and learn from the Next Gen National Team Coaches. – REGISTER OPENS until 2/16/2025 and closes 4/20/2025 – NO COST to be considered for the SELECTION PHASE. – During this open registration phase, players and partners are encouraged to register and become paired for the event. – SELECTION PHASE begins 4/21/2025 – Eighty-four (84) players will be selected to compete. – All players will be notified within two weeks by email. – 52-week rolling ranking points are considered during the selection phase: APP Tour Pro Ranking points & APP Next Gen Ranking points – Players selected will be provided a PIN# and instructions on how to finish their registration with payment. – Players not selected or inquiring late for consideration will be placed on the “Alternate List”. Players on the “Alternate List” wish to be considered in the event someone needs to cancel. A player may remove their name from consideration at any time. The APP Next Gen series is open to all players age 23 and younger. A player’s age is determined by the first day of the tournament. International players are welcome to participate. All fees are payable in the US dollar.

▶APP NEXT GEN MISSION The APP Tour is dedicated to developing America’s next champions. The APP|Chicken N Pickle “Next Gen Series” is the first of its kind for both young adult men’s and women’s pickleball player development. The focus for our events is to create a platform that can have our top American pickleball players compete and be educated through our mentoring program, and to prepare them to represent the United States in future international and APP Tour professional competitions. Players participating in APP Next Gen Tour events will have the opportunity to display their skills for consideration for the APP U.S. Next Gen National Team. The 2025 APP U.S. Next Gen National Team players are Jayden Broderick, Elliott Schupp, Ronan Camron, Eli Bertram, Aidan Schenk, Clayton Powell, Drake Palm, Brooke Revuelta, Lauren Mercado, Alexa Schull, Bella Nelson, Leah Tauber & Ava Cavataio. January 20 , 2025 will begin the first ever APP Academy with a non-boarding program and after-school program at The Fort. The Fort is the premier sports facility in South Florida, the ultimate destination for athletes and enthusiasts in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Summer of 2025 will feature weekly High Performance Camps followed by the APP Academy Boarding Program opening August 2025.

▶ APP Next Gen Competition Event Details – 3 DAYS OF COMPETITION – Each player will compete in a Friday doubles event, Saturday doubles event and Sunday singles event. – Friday players will select either “Mixed Doubles” or “Alternate Men’s Doubles” – Saturday players will select either “Women’s Doubles” or “Men’s Doubles” – Sunday players will select either “Women’s Singles” or “Men’s Singles” – SEMINARS – Friday – off court – video analysis with APP Next Gen National Team members & shared experiences during competition on the APP Tour – Saturday – on court drills with the APP Next Gen National Team Coaching Staff – CHICKEN N PICKLE – $30 FOOD GIFT CARD – players can purchase food during their competition and have it delivered to the court – $15k PRIZE PAYOUT – Top five male and top five female players – No individual payouts per event – Points are accumulated for each day to determine the total points for the cumulative standings list. – APP NEXT GEN RANKING POINTS – Players earning points during the competition will be RANKED at the end of the competition and will earn APP Next Gen Ranking Points – APP Next Gen Ranking Points are accumulated over a 52-week rolling period – APP Next Gen Ranking Points are used during the selection process and seeding of brackets – OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT BALL – Franklin X-40 – CODE OF CONDUCT – All players will be held to the Player Code of Conduct

▶ Schedule of Events Players will receive a detailed itinerary 7-10 days prior to the competition dates – THURSDAY – 2 pm – 4 pm – Clinic to prepare for the APP Next Gen Series competition (additional cost) – 6 pm – 8 pm – Court time for practice at the venue – FRIDAY – 8:00 am – tournament play begins – SATURDAY – 7:30 am – tournament play begins – SUNDAY – 7:00 am – tournament play begins

▶ Bracket Formats Tournaments play consolation brackets. If a player loses a match, the best they can finish is bronze. – Friday & Saturday – Open Men’s Doubles and Open Women’s Doubles – Top side of the bracket – best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2 – Bottom side of the bracket – one game to 15 win by 2 – Bronze – one game to 15 win by 2 – Gold – best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2 – Sunday – RALLY SCORING is used on singles event day – player is awarded a point for winning the rally without respect to who served the ball. – Game will be win by 2 and MUST BE WON on the serve. – Top side of the bracket – best 2 out of 3 games to 15 win by 2 – Bottom side of the bracket – one game to 21 win by 2 – Bronze – one game to 21 win by 2 – Gold – best 2 out of 3 games to 11 win by 2

▶ INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY APP events are outdoor events. If weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occurs the APP will do all it can to play matches. If brackets are in mid-play when a weather or unforeseen circumstance occurs the situation will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if the bracket may be finished or if winners may be determined.

▶ REGISTRATION & WEATHER INSURANCE POLICY If you withdraw before CANCELLATION DEADLINE ABOVE, you will be issued a full refund less the cancellation fee without the need to purchase Registration Insurance.
