USA Pickleball General Liability Policy
Current USA Pickleball ambassadors have bodily injury, property damage and limited medical coverage for USA Pickleball sanctioned and sponsored USA Pickleball events, as more fully explained by the coverage outline in the General Liability Insurance Program - Click Here to View.
USA Pickleball Promotional Booths:
When an ambassador has the ability to attend a non-sanctioned tournament or event and is given permission to facilitate a USA Pickleball promotional booth or table, they may do so and they do not need to submit a certificate of insurance request form. However, in some situations, a non-sanctioned tournament or venue might require the ambassador to provide a certificate of insurance. If so, click here and download the request form.
Outreach Clinics & General Instruction:
When requested by the facility or venue, USA Pickleball can issue a certificate of insurance to ambassadors who are required to present proof of insurance when teaching or instructing as volunteers, such as when they conduct free clinics. This coverage is strictly for the ambassador. It does not automatically extend to a facility, whether publicly or privately owned, that requires a policy where it is named as an additional insured. Additionally, this coverage does not extend to participants attending a clinic, class or program being conducted by the ambassador.
The USA Pickleball certificate simply provides proof that the ambassador has coverage through the USA Pickleball’s insurance policy. Ambassadors should always require participants to sign a release anytime they are teaching or are responsible for a class or program. Click here for a sample release ambassadors should use. This is a MS Word doc and can be edited to include specific information.
Ambassadors will need to obtain a separate insurance policy when:
- They charge a fee for clinics, classes or programs,
- The facility or a third-party entity requires the ambassador to provide a certificate of insurance that names it as an additional insured, or
- They are required to provide insurance coverage for participants.
