2016 USAPA Atlantic South Regional Tournament Recap
180 players enjoyed the sun and good times in Mobile, Ala.

The 2016 Atlantic South Regional Tournament is in the books. The location was perfect and the weather was beautiful. Over 180 players were in attendance for this year’s Regional. The City of Mobile was very accommodating and welcoming to all of our players and guests. A big thank you to our sponsors, Pickleball Rocks, Pro Lite Sports, Pickleball Up, WhipperSnapper, Paddletek, The Pickleball Channel, Pickleball Central and the Mobile CVB along with the Mobile Tennis Center. The tournament desk was under the command of Melissa McCurley with Pickleball Tournaments and the tournament went on without a glitch. This year’s tournament started off with a Thursday night Social at the USS Alabama Battleship Park and the Seafood Jambalaya dinner was provided by Naman’s Catering of Mobile.
The tournament started on Friday morning at 9am and concluded on Sunday at 3pm. The players were treated to lunch each day as well as complimentary massages by Massage Envy and a personal trainer onsite for any medical needs. A big thank you to all of our Volunteers from the Coastal Alabama Pickleball Club who helped out at the check-in desk as well as the USAPA booth. We are already starting to plan for next year’s tournament so be on the lookout around mid-summer for the announcement of the 2017 Atlantic South Regional tournament.
Lee-Anna Camper-Davon Martin won gold in their 4.5 Mixed Division. Both Camper and Martin would go on to finish the tournament with 3 gold medals each.
