USA Pickleball Signs Proclamation with Special Olympics North America
USA Pickleball is excited to have signed a Proclamation with Special Olympics North America (SONA), which will help to encourage the growth of Pickleball within Special Olympics Programs. USA Pickleball will provide resources and assistance in support of this goal and SONA’s mission to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition. This includes but is not limited to access to coaching/training resources, collaborative work to develop competition-related materials and developing connections with a network of sport-knowledgeable volunteers and officials.
“Special Olympics North America is excited to officially form this partnership with USA Pickleball. Pickleball is a growing sport within North America, and partnering with USA Pickleball will not only afford Programs with the resources necessary to develop the sport, but also provide them with a sport that can be offered to athletes and Unified partners of all ages and in all settings, including schools and within the community” said Craig Pippert, Sr. Manager of Sport Development for SONA.
Similarly, Hope Tolley, Managing Director of Recreational Programs and Services said “USA Pickleball is delighted to develop a relationship with Special Olympics North America that expands opportunities to foster programmatic growth and allows Pickleball to be played by Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners.”
