Nationals VI Set To Begin This Sunday

With the largest pickleball tournament in history starting on Sunday in Buckeye, we’re excited to report that whether you’re sitting on the sidelines or in your living room, you can experience this year’s tournament in a whole new way.

“This year, we’re putting an emphasis on social media reporting and integrating the player’s experience from the courts,” Justin Maloof, executive director of the USAPA said today. “We have a few Twitter reporters arriving this weekend – including @USAPAWestMI and @PickleballRocks – ready to share their Nationals experience with players everywhere.

In addition to the Twitter reporting, the USAPA will be publishing daily recaps that will incorporate the Twitter posts from players and spectators, media reports, and pictures posted on Facebook and Instagram.

“We hope everyone who uses social media to post something about Nationals will use the tag #NationalsVI,” Maloof added. “If you’re familiar with how Bleacher Report handles news updates – we’re hoping to do something similar.”

If you’re a Twitter user, below are some profiles you can follow during this year’s tournament. Updates will be posted throughout the day on USAPA.org highlighting event schedules, results, and hopefully lots of great selfies from spectators and competitors.
