First outdoor pickleball courts open

The courts had already been full for two weeks. Pickleball players tend to know where to go, from email chains and through Facebook posts. So once the work was done at West Hills Park, the courts were full. “We found out about it and we’ve been out here since they opened the door,” Vicki Ryan, a retired nurse, said after a match Monday morning. She was there for the ribbon-cutting with Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero, Knoxville Parks and Recreation staff, and of course, pickleball players. Read More…
