Lesson learned: Pickleball Club runs circles around new sports editor

There’s been a whole lot of buzz about this funky game we call pickleball all over this great community of ours. Whether it’s the fact that pickleball is now the second-fastest growing sport in America, behind soccer, or the fact that Green Valley is clamoring for more courts, the bottom-line is that pickleball is here to stay. It was with that in mind that I ventured on over to Canoa Hills Social Center on Friday with the stated goal of trying to find out whether I, a 23-year-old former high school hack of an athlete could hang in there with the Green Valley Pickleball Club’s advanced players.  Read More…
