Pickleball’s popularity is reaching all ages in Williamson County

For those still unfamiliar with pickleball — and they’re getting fewer and fewer — a description from one of the sport’s enthusiasts might sum it up best. “It’s life-size ping pong with chess-like strategy.” That analogy came from Rick Hobson of Nashville, who was at the Academy Park outdoor pickleball courts in Franklin recently along with several other players rotating in and out of doubles matches being played on the four courts there. “It’s a very addictive sport,” he added.
