The TODAY team hits the pickleball court to give America’s new favorite sport a shot

The TODAY anchors got outside of the studio and headed to the pickleball courts in New York, at Court 16, to compete in a friendly competition in what they called “TODAY Pickleball,” with an exclusive logo and team shirts.

Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, Carson Daly, Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager each expressed what they love most about the sport, with Savannah stating, “I like a sport where you could do it barefoot while holding a rosé.” Savannah also stating that it was Jenna that introduced her to pickleball and now they’re both hooked.

They were all laughs and having the time of their lives while we all watched, feeling their joy for pickleball coming right off the screen. A feeling that all of us feel each time we get to play.

As Savannah and Carson won the championship against Hoda and Jenna, you can see Carson and Savannah ecstatic with their win, while embraced with a USA Pickleball paddle. Plus, the feature included a spotlight on Pickleball Magazine and publisher, Wayne Dollard’s, LevelUp pickleball camp.

Thank you to the whole TODAY team for perfectly showcasing why we all love Pickleball!
