Step Three
Earn Points Towards Nationals
Depending on your pickleball journey, each sanctioned tournament you play in earns you points through our Tiered Point System (TPS), but Golden Ticket Tournaments offer the highest point values and a direct opportunity to earn priority registration for Nationals by winning gold.
Through the Tiered Point System (TPS), you’ll earn points based on tournament tier, participation and performance — with Golden Ticket Tournaments awarding the most. Points accumulate throughout the qualification cycle (Sept. 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027).
See more information below and HERE as well.
- Nationals Eligibility: Your accumulated TPS points help determine your eligibility to register for Nationals, even if you don't win a Golden Ticket.
- Golden Tickets: Golden Ticket Tournaments award the highest TPS point values, and gold medal winners earn priority registration for Nationals.
Whether you win gold or build points over time, sanctioned tournaments keep you moving forward on your Path to Nationals.

Step Three
Secure Spot at Nationals
Once you’ve played in a Golden Ticket tournament or earned points in USA Pickleball-sanctioned events, you're ready to register. Opening in August, Tier 1 priority registration is earned by winning a Golden Ticket at a 2026 Nationals-qualifying tournament, 2025 Nationals gold medalists, athletes age 70+, and athletes impacted by 2025 rainouts. After Tier 1, division capacity is reviewed and Tier 2 opens via waitlist, with athletes advanced into the draw based on TPS standings as space allows.
