PLEASE READ: All players who have automatically qualified for the USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship will receive their registration link via email on or by October 2.  

The first-ever USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship will be held Dec. 1-7 at beautiful Pictona at Holly Hill in Florida—one of the nation’s finest facilities, featuring 49 courts. Diamond Amateur Championship gold medalists will earn Golden Tickets—the ability to automatically pre-register—for the 2023 USA Pickleball Championships at the world-class Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship Qualification Requirements:

  • All gold and silver medalists from the 12 Diamond Amateur Regional tournaments are eligible to register during Phase I (see below).
  • All other participants from Diamond Amateur Regional tournaments are eligible to register during Phase II (see below).

Skill/Age: 19+, 35+, 50+, 55+

Friday, December 2: Mixed Doubles

Skill/Age: 19+, 35+, 50+, 55+

Saturday, December 3: Men's Doubles

Skill/Age: 19+, 35+, 50+, 55+

Sunday, December 4: All Singles – All Age Groups. All matches are double elimination with one game to 15; must win by two.

Skill/Age: 19+, 35+, 50+, 55+, 60+

Age/Skill: 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+, 85+ 

Monday, December 5: Women's Doubles

Skill/Age: 60-64

Age/Skill: 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+, 85+

Tuesday, December 6: Mixed Doubles

Skill/Age: 60-64

Age/Skill: 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+, 85+

Wednesday, December 7: Men's Doubles

Skill/Age: 60-64

Age/Skill: 65+, 70+, 75+, 80+, 85+

All doubles events are pool play, with a playoff for the gold, silver and bronze medals. There is a 12-team limit per event. Doubles players who have already automatically qualified can select a new partner—if needed—who played in a Diamond Amateur Regional tournament (the partner does not have to be a gold or silver medalist). Your partner must register during Phase I for the doubles event in which you are eligible.

USA Pickleball Diamond Amateur Championship

USA Pickleball is excited to announce the inaugural Diamond Amateur Championship to be held December 1st thru December 7th, 2022. The 12 Regional Championships will culminate in the new Diamond Amateur Championship taking place at Pictona in Holly Hill, FL. Gold Medalists from the Diamond Amateur Championship will earn pre-registration (Golden Tickets) to the following year’s National Championships in Indian Wells as another pathway for players to the Nationals in addition to the National Championship Series.

Qualifying for the 2022 season:

  • The 12 Regional Championships will culminate in the new Diamond Amateur Championship taking place December 1-7 at Pictona in Holly Hill, FL. Gold Medalists from the Diamond Amateur Championship will earn pre-registration (Golden Tickets) to the following year’s National Championships in Indian Wells.
  • Gold and Silver Medalists from the Regional tournaments will earn pre-registration into the Diamond Amateur Championship at Pictona. All other participants from the Regional tournaments will be eligible for the lottery into the Diamond Amateur Championship.
  • Gold, Silver and Bronze Medalists from Regional tournaments will be eligible to enter the lottery for the 2022 National Championships in Indian Wells.

Diamond Amateur Championship Format: 

Round Robin pools leading to a double elimination championship for each bracket will be used.  This format should guarantee more play for all players.
