Pickleball catching on with all ages in the Valley

Dale Guess’ right arm did most of the work, slicing up and down, left and right, across his body and extended out wide. Guess, recently retired at 56, had traveled from Richmond, a 90-minute commute, to take part in a game he had learned just five years earlier, but had quickly grown to love. And so did many others, some as young as 18 and others as old as 76, as the Augusta County Parks and Recreation Department hosted a pickleball tournament last Saturday at Wilson Memorial Middle School.
