From the Board…..
Thanks to those members who were able to attend the membership meeting at the 2018 Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships! We hope that the meeting proved to be informative for you and that you were able to get some of your questions answered. While we did not have as many in attendance as we had hoped for, we still had good, informative discussions on several topics and are hopeful that many more members will be able to join us for next year’s meeting at 2019 Nationals.
Some of our members had questions concerning our strategic plan. Instead of just responding to those individuals only, we thought we would share some of our initiatives for the coming year with all of you. Below are some of the things “on our plate”.

Our strategic plan can and will be updated/amended as necessary and we are open to input from our membership. If you have something that you feel should be considered for addition to our plan, please let us know by sending an email to membershipmeeting@usapickleball.org.
The payout for the Open divisions at the 2018 Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships totaled $75,200, the largest payout in our history and the first time the 4th place finishers were compensated!

There’s one other point that we would like to share with the membership concerning our partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is the USAPA’s designated charity. We have donated over $70,000 to St. Jude since November 2016!
