2019 USAPA Board Elections

USAPA is looking for highly motivated and talented USAPA members to fill six current Board openings. Below is a short description of the positions to be filled by the Board for the next two-year term beginning January 1, 2019.

Vice President – assists the President in the performance of the President’s duties and exercises all the powers of the President in the case of the President’s resignation, incapacity, removal, or death; presides over USAPA Board meetings at which the President is not present; acts as the primary board contact with the Ambassador leadership regarding the Ambassador program. This position is presently held by CJ Jermstad, who is seeking re-election.

Treasurer – monitors the financial management and controls of the USAPA and its budgeting process, including the development of the annual budget, the annual filing of Form 990, and the investment of funds. This position is presently held by Darryl Noble, who is seeking re-election.

Board Member at Large – Media and Communications Advisor – serves as Board advisor for all aspects of media and communications including electronic and print media. This position also serves as the USAPA Juniors advisor. This position is presently held by Bob Nibarger, who is seeking re-election.

Board Member at Large – Customer and Member Relationship Advisor – serves as Board advisor regarding USAPA’s connections with its membership, alliance partners, vendors and the U.S. pickleball community; advises on matters involving public relations and customer service. This position is newly created with no incumbent.

Board Member at Large – Business Relationship/Marketing Advisor – serves as a Board advisor for business development, operations and overall performance, data analysis, utilization of information, marketing and sales, new revenue stream development, processes that support growth for the USAPA. This position is newly created with no incumbent.

Board Member at Large – Recreational Play Advisor – serves as Board advisor and works closely with staff on developing pickleball leagues and clubs, acts as liaison with amateur sports organizations such as AAU, advises Ambassadors on development of new venues initiating pickleball play in new locations and working with schools and youth. This position is newly created with no incumbent.

It is the board’s duty to elect the person they feel can best fulfill the requirement of the position. All board positions are voluntary and no pay is offered.
