USAPA Nationals VII: Open Tournament Results

The Open and Senior Open competition of this year’s Nationals VII Pickleball Tournament started on Friday and finished on Monday due to weather delays on Sunday. This year, the medal rounds of the Open Tournament was available to watch via live-streaming for players all over the country to enjoy. At one point on Friday afternoon nearly 21,000 people were watching the event online. A big thanks to our broadcast sponsors for making this happen.

The results from the Open & Senior Open included many new faces. The competition was fierce, even attracting the women’s tennis coach from Michigan State University – who walked away with three medals in the Open Tournament: Gold in the Mixed Doubles, Silver in Women’s Doubles, and Gold in Women’s Singles.

Daniel Moore also turned in a great performance capture two medals of his own in the Open Tournament: Gold in Men’s Doubles, Silver in Men’s Singles; he also captured the Gold in the 19+ Men’s Singles event.

Not to be outdone by his son, Scott Moore captured three medals in the Open Tournament, capturing the hat-trick in the Senior Open events earning Gold in the Senior Mixed, Men’s and Singles events.

There were many great events during the Open that we will continue to share this week as we wrap-up an amazing week of camaraderie and great play at Casa Grande and the USAPA Nationals VII Pickleball  Tournament.
