Hundreds compete in region’s largest pickleball tourney in Bend

It’s 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning, yet the parking spots at Bend’s Pine Nursery Park are filling up fast. All 16 of the pickleball courts — each about one-fourth the size of a tennis court — are filled with men and women vying for victory at what organizers say is the largest pickleball tournament in the Pacific Northwest. “It’s extremely competitive,” said A.J.
