Nearly a done dill: Bridger Pickleball courts to open in time for Memorial Day weekend

Just in time for the annual influx of Summer Citizens, eight pickleball courts next to Bridger Elementary School are set to open to the public this week.

It’s a sport that nearly anyone can play. A pickleball court is about half the size of a tennis court, and players use wooden or composite paddles with perforated balls. It’s a popular pastime among the estimated 700 elderly folks, often from Arizona, who choose to spend the hottest months of the year in Logan through the Summer Citizens program at Utah State University.
