Pickleball grows in popularity

Pickleball is growing in popularity and players in Ahwatukee Foothills want to see more places to play in the city of Phoenix to help facilitate the growth. Joan Gillespie said she has been working with the city to identify more places for the public to play, but it’s difficult with the city’s tight budget. “I want the city to know that there is a demand for pickleball out here and that it is being played and we need more places to play outside that will be for families and working people,” Gillespie said.
