Are you a Social (Media) Butterfly?
Social media initiatives will be a focus for the USAPA in 2015
Like it or not, there’s no denying our world is changing. Traditional news outlets are giving way to electronic, digital media services that literally put information right at our fingertips in real time. Social media is a huge aspect of our changing digital world and companies and organizations who fail to accept and embrace this form of media, run the risk of becoming obsolete. This is one reason why social media initiatives will be a point of emphasis this year for USAPA.
While the importance of social media marketing is generally accepted, many may question its value. The goals of social media marketing can’t be just to gain likes, fans, and retweets. While these elements are important, they are not the end goal. Social media is far more than an popularity contest.
During the USAPA Nationals VI tournament last November, we saw just how great social media activity from players, spectators and sponsors can benefit the USAPA. The tweeting and Facebooking of matches and the tournament experience helped us see a “new” perspective. Click Here if you missed the Nationals updates.
We understand that social media needs to be part of our strategy to attract new players and we’re committed to establishing a social media team this year. If you’re super active on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram – and addicted to Pickleball – please drop us a note. We’re looking for a few dedicated people across the United States to carry the torch and connect the USAPA to a brand new audience of players. Click Here to let us know you’re interested.
